IMPORTANT! Does your child use SNAPCHAT? Please read.
Snapchat have added a new feature called SnapMaps. This function is set so it is enabled as default unless it is switched off. It allows everyone on your child's friend list to see where they are on a real map using GPS. This is a real concern, especially if your child has friend on Snapchat that they do not know, as their location is available for all to see that they are connected to.

To stop this feature. Follow these steps:
Tap options
Select Ghost Mode.
This will mean that your child does not appear on a map showing their location.
Newsletter Launched for Adults in Blackburn with Darwen
A new newsletter has been launched by the charity 'enough abuse' and provides very in-depth and at times quite startling information as to some of the apps and games available to children.
As a school, we will be making this monthly newsletter available to parents to show the dangers and pitfalls of the ever changing landscape of communication online and it should provide information on any new apps or games available.
